What holds your business together? For many conscious entrepreneurs, it’s a patchwork of platforms, advice, and quick fixes that never quite feel aligned. In this video, Kathryn Gorham explores why that “duct tape energy” might be the very thing holding you back—and what to do instead.
Hi, Kathryn Gorham here today with Duct Tape is Not a Business Strategy.
This stuff can fix just about anything, right? A leaky pipe, a broken chair, a suitcase that pops open mid-flight.
But your business? Not so much.
I’ve seen so many conscious entrepreneurs try to duct tape their way through building a business. They sign up for this platform, plug into that tool, follow someone else’s formula.Add a podcast here, a calendar there, toss in a little AI—and before they know it, things start to wobble.
Technically it’s working.
But it doesn’t feel stable.
It doesn’t feel like them.
That’s the thing about duct tape—it works for a while.
But it’s not meant to be permanent.
And it’s definitely not a business foundation.
Duct tape energy shows up as doing what you should do instead of what aligns.
Patching problems instead of pausing for clarity.
Adding more instead of simplifying.
And the cost? Scattered energy.
No traction.
A brand that’s confusing even to you.
But here’s the truth—you don’t need more patches.
You need clarity.
A clean foundation that reflects you—your energy, your rhythm, your voice.
When your business is built from alignment, you don’t have to hold it together with quick fixes. It holds you.
If you’re still watching/reading, you’re already in motion.Your soul is listening.Stay with that energy.
There’s a free video series waiting for you—one that helps you clear what’s not yours and move forward with clarity.
