How Grouper Taught Me This

I have a favorite recipe—a grouper dish from the New York Times.

It’s healthy, delicious, and perfect for company.

I’ve made it two ways.

One time: I was rushed. Checked off ingredients. Got it done.

The dish turned out… okay. Fine. But it didn’t land.

Another time: I was in the current.

I hand-picked the ingredients. Turned on music. Prepped with ease.

I gave myself time to enjoy the process—showered, dressed, relaxed before guests arrived.

And when cooked, the dish sang.

Same recipe.

Same steps.

One version flat.

The other was alive.

The difference wasn’t in the task.

It was in the energy.

Your Business Is No Different

You can build from effort.You can write the emails, launch the offers, show up on camera.

But if the current isn’t there—your audience won’t feel it.

And if they can’t feel it, they won’t move.

Because play isn’t what you do after the work.
