Power of Pause
A holiday.
It can take a holiday to make us appreciate life more fully. To enjoy ourselves. To share time with friends and family. Or to just relax and pause.
This image was taken from our upper balcony this holiday weekend. Many celebrated this holiday weekend gathering with others. We did the same.
However Monday, the actual, I chose to pause and relax. I set an intention to sleep in. And I did. It felt great and refreshing. I played in my greenhouse and planted some seeds to extend the summer harvest. The dog and I went for a walk in the woods. I had a nap rested.
My husband and I have been working with contractors, making decisions, coordinating vendors and adjusting schedules for renovation projects at our home for more than two months. It felt great to have a pause, a break, a holiday.
Often we push through and do whatever is in front of us, whatever shows up without realizing stress builds up. Pressure and tension builds in small increments and we don't notice the accumulation. We don't recognize our body telling us that we could use a break, some down time, a refresher.
I am grateful for this break. I'm grateful for the pause. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
What about you? Do you need a pause? Have you given yourself a recent pause?
